Mercy Pack : Territory

whisper flicked her ears irritably, she couldn't tell if it was from the new wolf or Azreal, but Whisper itched to do something. She didn't think it was boredom, but whisper was annoyed at having to stand around and wait. Whisper sighed inwardly masking her face of whatever expression might have been on there.

Whisper paused, she wasn't sure the deer would still be there and did not want to embarras herself, but the deer was probably still there, so Whisper inclined her head towards Kipxin, the alpha's tail wagged and Whisper felt her tail give a small wag, returning it "there is a deer in the forest that was caught in the hunt" allowing Kipxin to decide the course of action. Whisper paused glancing at Azreal, he still had not answered her question, even if it had been more of a statement. Whisper paid it no heed, Azreal had probably not been paying attention and would have to have it explained to him again. Whisper paused looking at Bain and Kole both had bern reslitively quiet, which didn't really surprise her, but she still wondered why. Whisper glanced at Kole again, but not enough to seem rude, though she tried not to show it she was surveying him. In most packs there was a reason two males didn't hold the rank beta, they would usually fight to the death, so why were there two male betas, alive, who seemed actually fairly friendly with each other. whisper ignored the question for a while, she knew it was a sensitive question and chose to ask it later. Whisper looked at Kipxin waiting for her response, her mouth almost salivating at the thought of food.

Whisper's eyes were on Azreal and Kole, trying to figure everything out, silently she shook her head, it was hard enough to figure them out separately, Azreal being on a whole other world. Whisper felt Kipxin nudge her, and before she realized who it was almost, whipped around and snapped, but then at the alpha's next words all the thoughts skipped out of her mind, finally. Whisper watched Kipxin set a brisk pace, and began to trot after the alpha, the decaying scent small and distant but growing strong and even though it was rancid Whisper was anticipating it with pleasure. Whisper couldn't quite place the feeling she had as she trot through the woods, near but slightly behind kipxin, it wasn't exhilaration, and even though the feeling was content it felt as if it was a hunger that was being satisfied yet was still hungry. Whisper didn't pause as her legs continued to make gentle flowing movements in the direction of food but she tried to place the feeling, it kept growing and growing, and even though there was hunger there was also the satisfaction of eating, it was odd. Whisper glanced behind, wondering if Bain needed help, but decided against it, she would let the rest of them take their time, now was not the time to worry, which was odd because Whisper never remembered a time when she felt it was appropriate not to worry, worrisome.

Bain perked his ears as he noticed that the rest of the wolves had went before standing up and finding their trail. He sprinted after them until his paw hit something hard. Was it a stump? No, it was the male from earlier. He stood up and shook his paw a couple times, good, it wasn't hurt. Bain then turned his sightless gaze to Kole. "Are you alright?" he asked while pokeing the wolf with his paw. He shook the debree out of his fur before sitting down and awaiting an answer. Bain sniffed the air, wondering if there were any herbs nearby that he could pick and bring back with him.
