Alright guys, so this is going to be a different kind of contest! Unlike the last contest, this contest is going to involve writing and your own creativity. Here's what's gonna happen.

The Short Story:

+ You can do it from anyone or anything's point of view! Be creative!

Evangeline looked out into the golden woods before her eyes. She bit her lip and felt a soft cry escape from her lips. She was alone. Only yesterday she was with the man she wanted to marry. He was her everything. She did anything he asked of her. Jason was his name. She loved him like none other. All the sleepless nights holding each other and feeling like nothing else mattered in the world. Her heart dances as she thinks of the way his clear blue eyes glowed in the dark. The way he would hold her as they glided across the living room floor. The way he would smile and hold her face as he laughed when he saw the dinner disaster and say “I’ll pay for dinner tonight.” Everything was perfect. Up until the yesterday. She still doesn’t understand why, or what happened. She remembered picking up the phone and smiling to herself as she bashfully said “Hey there stranger.” It had been two weeks since Jason had touched her face in the gentle way he used to. Two weeks since she felt his kisses down her arms. Two weeks since Jason had told her he loved her. That phone call was everything Evangeline expected it to be. Jason hushed her, and in a huskily manner asked Evangeline to sit down. She asked why but did anyways. Jason began with his rehearsed story of how he loved another, and how she wasn’t everything to him anymore. He ended it with “You know I’ll always love you, but things between us just aren’t the same anymore.” Evangeline told him she’d always love him as well, and they ended things. The shock kept her going through the day. Only two hours ago, it hit her that she had no destination any longer. She had no home anymore. The place with Jason wasn’t home. She couldn’t live down her love. Before she has time to think about anything else a strange green mini van pulls in through the thicket and looks at her. “Hi Evangeline.” A frail old woman staggers out of the van. She kept her car running and grinned as Evangeline registered no memory of this woman. Evangeline smiles “Hi, I think you must have the wrong person, I don’t know who you are.” The woman laughs and looks around suspiciously. “I know exactly who you are. Your time is on the clock. Before you say anything else you need to come with me. These woods are watching you child. If you want to live, you need to step into my van.” Evangeline felt her heart pound. Why would she get in this vehicle? Why would anyone be watching her? Why would she listen to someone she didn’t even know? How does this woman know her? Evangeline looks back at the woman with fear in her eyes and turns back to see a black shadow dance across the field behind her. Evangeline turned to the woman to see her smiling and laughing. She let out another sigh and made up her mind. Her life was about to change. For the better or the worst.

Copper was gently placed onto the cold silver table, a shiver ran constantly through her legs. Where was her beloved human? She had left just two weeks ago around the same time she did every year, and she missed her dearly. Her human's mother had taken her to a strange place with other sad looking animals with their humans sitting in a room just waiting, but waiting for what? Another wave of pain corsed through her stomach and she let out a soft wine. Within the past week she had noticed that her legs could not hold her upright anymore, sure about a year ago they started to ach but she had always been able to stand. A human dressed in a large white coat made small singing noises at her while gently stroking the top of her head. Who was this human, where was my humans mother now, where was my human? She began to shake as the human stuck a thin sharp pointed thing into her side, still stroking her telling her everything was going to be okay, that she will feel better in just a minute. A wave a numbness washed over her whole body and her eyes became very heavy, she couldn't feel the human's hand anymore and she couldn't move. Best of all she didn't feel her stomach anymore. Then she started to panic, she couldn't move anything. Her legs, tail, head, everything was out of her control. Then just like the warm blanket her human used to wrap her up in before bed, she was calm. And she was nothing.

    Copper woke up feeling like she was young again. Her legs were strong and sturdy and she felt the urge to play again, one that was covered by the constant pain she had felt in her stomach before the strang human. She glanced around looking for the human wanting to thank her for this wonderous gift it had given her. There was nothing. All around her was nothing, just white, like the cotten that floated ever so far in the sky. She then heard a small "uhh,hemm". She spun around rapidly and wagged her tail in realizing she could do that again.
"Welcome home."
A strange human dressed in white stood before her, this one was different than the last one. This one seemed to have a glowing aroua surrounding it. She shook her head, this human must be confused. She lived in a white house with her yard, oh she couldn't wait to run around her yard again it had been so long since the last time she had done so.
"I'm sorry, you must have me confused with some other beagle, this isn't my home. Say, where am I, I seem to have wondered off again. Why, I haven't done that in years. My human must be distraught, she always gets so worried when I do this."
"Copper dear, this place is your home now. I'm sorry to say but you won't be seeing your human for a very long time, hopefully. I do not have control over these types of things, nature has run her course."
"How do you know my name, and what do you mean a very long time? Why would you hope for me not to see my human, she is the one I love the most? Naturee has run her course, what are you...no. no no no no no. You see she was on vacation, I can't be gone when she gets back. She needs me, I need her."
"I'm sorry dear but your time has come, it's time for you to come with me."
"I will not come with you, I must see her again. I have to go home."
"Be careful what you say Copper, if you deny me then you will be trapped within the gap. And you will not be able to join me untill you realize where you belong."
"The gap? I don't have time for this foolishness, I have to see my human. I'm better now, we can play again and go for walks."
And with those words the strange human vanishes.

    Copper hears a strange clicking noise and turns towards whatever it may be, she turns to find herself standing in the front lawn of her home. She runs up the porch steps to the one story house she has called home sence the day her human rescued her from the god forsaken place the last humans abandoned her at. She scratches at the door, the sign that she gives to let her family know she wants in. Her human's mother appears and looks straight passed her and starts to close the door again. Copper quickly jumps through the closing space between her home and the barrier to the outside. Confused that the mother didn't see her or even welcome her back nagged at her. Surely they had been searching for her, they always did when she wondered off. The mother sits down at her chair and goes back to watching her magical box of light. Copper happily trots up to her to let the mother know Copper is safe. But when the mother doesn't even glance down or give the slightest acknowledgement towards her, she starts to worry. What if the strange human was right? Could she possibly be...no, she was going to find her human. Now where would her human go? Copper strained to think of where she could have possibly gone to for vacation. She closed her eyes and wished that she could just see her one last time. When she opened her eyes she found herself in a strange dark room, but heard the sound of her human snoring peacefully asleep. She let out bark after bark her tail wagging at one hundred miles an hour. Her human sat up quickly and looked around room, she reached for a stuffed animal that had fallen to the ground right beneath her bed and clutched it to her chest. The small toy resembled Copper in that it was a small stuffed beagle the girl had gotten for her birthday when she was just a little thing. Copper remembered countless times she had chewed on the toy, and in that moment she knew.

   She knew when she saw the single tear drop from her precious humans eye. She knew that her little girl would not be able to see, hear, or scratch that perfect spot behind her ear. That she didn't have the strength to wait untill she got back to say goodbye. That is what hurt the most in that moment, the fact that she didn't have the chance to say goodbye. With her youthful legs she jumped onto the plush mattress and just layed beside her. Copper shut her eyes and with one last thought, she said goodbye to her home.
   
    When she opened her eyes there was nothing. All around her was nothing, just white, like the cotten that floated ever so far in the sky. She then heard a small "uhh,hemm".
